Lollipop licks her lips as she looks at her paint-splattered body in the mirror. The image is complicated, a jumble of curves and angles and lumpy pieces: sea green skin tones, blended with streaks of royal blue face paint from her eyelids to her upper chest; a light purple stripe painted above each breast; yellow sandals that go halfway up the calves of plump legs; lime green toes; brown hair done up into two corkscrewed buns on either side of a chin-length black wig. The messy colors look like a child's painting, but Lollipop always feels beautiful when she sees them.
